Works independently and collaboratively with unit Nursing Manager to coordinate the day-to-day operations of the unit. Works collaboratively with unit Nursing Manager in recruitment and retention initiatives, Performance Evaluations, Performance Improvement Plans and disciplinary actions. Responsible for ensuring the very best patient/family experience by optimizing all customer interaction. Foster a positive work environment through mutual support and cooperation. Adhere to all Holy Spirit and Geisinger Service Standards. Directly accountable to the Nursing Manager.
Current Pennsylvania State RN license or RN Temporary Practice Permit
Current BLS certification
Current ACLS certification
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred; enrollment in BSN program within 6 months of hire and BSN degree completion within 4 years of hire required
One or more years experience working on unit or within specialty area
Specialty certification preferred
